Job Description


As a Merchandiser at JODI, you will play a critical role in driving the brand’s commercial success, ensuring seamless communication between production, sales, retail partners, and internal teams. This role requires a strong understanding of fashion trends, buyer behavior, logistics, and business strategy. Your primary focus will be on both domestic and international retail expansion and enhancing brand visibility and revenue.


Key Responsibilities:


Retail & Buyer Management (Domestic & International):


Act as the main point of contact for all international and domestic retail partners and buyers.


Coordinate with buyers to manage seasonal orders, inventory requirements, pricing strategies, and delivery timelines.


Regularly update buyers on new collections, product availability, pricing changes, and reorder opportunities.


Ensure all buyer queries are handled efficiently, maintaining strong professional relationships.


Pop-up Coordination & Brand Representation:


Plan, organize, and execute brand pop-ups across various cities and retail platforms.


Liaise with hosts and venues to manage logistics, product displays, stock movement, billing, and on-ground team support.


Ensure timely dispatch and return of stock, while tracking sales performance during events.


Represent the brand at select events, ensuring consistent brand presentation and customer engagement.


Revenue Growth & Business Development:


Strategically work to increase overall revenue through B2B orders, retail expansion, and targeted pop-ups.


Identify and pitch to potential retail platforms and stockists to expand JODI’s footprint.


Analyze sales data to identify trends, improve stock planning, and make informed recommendations to maximize revenue.


Inventory & Order Management:


Oversee inventory movement for all stockists and pop-ups.


Ensure accurate order processing, dispatch timelines, and invoicing.


Maintain up-to-date records of orders, dispatches, stock returns, and damaged goods.


Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and accounts teams for timely fulfillment.


Cross-Departmental Coordination:


Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure availability of bestsellers and exclusives for key partners.


Share buyer feedback with design and marketing teams to influence future collections and collaborations.


Coordinate with the finance team on invoices, payments, and debit/credit notes for buyers and partners.


Market Research & Trend Forecasting:


Stay updated with global and local fashion trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.


Suggest merchandising strategies and collection alignments based on market insights.


Reporting & Analysis:


Provide regular reports on sales performance, pop-up results, and partner feedback.


Track KPIs such as sell-through rates, top-performing SKUs, and revenue growth by partner/channel.
