About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Leader to set direction and lead revenue growth for a premium city hotel. The Director of Sales will create strategic plans, design commercial initiatives, and coach the sales team to meet and exceed targets. This role combines hands-on commercial planning with team leadership and cross-department coordination.

Key responsibilities

  • Design a data-driven sales and marketing strategy for the property and translate it into achievable targets.
  • Develop creative packages, offers and proposals for corporate clients, travel trade and direct guests.
  • Prepare and execute a yearly sales activity calendar and ensure its delivery through the sales team.
  • Track performance metrics, analyse sales results and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain up-to-date sales collateral and ensure relevant product information is presented clearly across channels.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day commercial operations and coordinate closely with other departments (e.g., operations, revenue, events).
  • Grow the hotel’s client base while nurturing relationships with existing corporate and agency partners.
  • Draft and manage contracts, ensuring terms reflect current commercial strategy and pricing guidelines.
  • Work with the events/group coordinator to review pricing, repeat-booking offers and group-related commercial incentives.


Profile we’re looking for

  • Graduate in Business, Marketing or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • 12–15 years of progressive sales experience in hospitality, with at least 3–4 years in a leadership role within upscale or luxury hotels.

  • Strong understanding of the Bengaluru market will be beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and implement sales strategies that drive revenue and market share.
  • Hands-on leader with proven experience coaching and developing sales teams.
  • Good commercial acumen, analytical skills and the ability to draw insights from market data.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
