As we expand adoption of our AI-driven code compliance platform, we’re looking for a high-energy, highly curious SDR who thrives on conversations, handles rejection like a pro, and genuinely enjoys understanding people. This is a role for someone who doesn’t just “do outreach” — they craft thoughtful, researched, multichannel engagement that opens real doors.


Role Overview

As an SDR at MeltPlan, you will be the first voice many customers hear — the one who sparks interest, qualifies opportunities, and sets the tone for a high-trust buyer journey. This is not a “spray and pray” volume role. You’ll focus on deep research, high-quality outreach, and personalized multi-touch sequences across calls, email, and LinkedIn.

You will work closely with founders and marketing as we expand Melt Code across the U.S. AEC ecosystem.

And because we are an AI-first company, you’ll also learn how to operate as an AI-powered SDR — using advanced tools to research better, personalize faster, and close stronger.


Key Responsibilities


Inbound

  • Qualify inbound leads with speed and precision.
  • Research prospects thoroughly — company, persona, projects, jurisdictions — before reaching out.
  • Craft high-quality, context-driven outreach that resonates with architects, GCs, engineers, and owners.
  • Run multi-touch follow-up sequences that feel personal, not spammy.


Outbound

  • Build targeted lead lists using deep research, not guesswork.
  • Execute thoughtful outbound campaigns: cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn messages.
  • Prioritize quality over quantity — every touchpoint should feel intentional.
  • Drive top-of-funnel pipeline with U.S. AEC firms; mid-day U.S. overlap required (subject to change based on company needs).


Pipeline Development

  • Track, measure, and iterate on outreach strategies.
  • Develop insights from conversations and share them with marketing + product.
  • Stay sharp on Melt Code’s value, customer pain points, and the preconstruction ecosystem.

AI-drive workflows

  • Use AI tools for research, personalization, call prep, and workflow acceleration.
  • Experiment with new AI workflows to improve output speed and quality.
  • Develop into an AI-first SDR, setting a model for future hires.


What We’re Looking For

  • 2–3 years of SDR/BDR experience - B2B SaaS preferred)
  • At least 1 year of cold-calling experience with 

    U.S. clients

  • Strong communication skills — confident, warm, and naturally curious.
  • Comfortable with rejection; sees it as part of the sport, not a setback.
  • Research-driven — someone who prepares before every call or outreach.
  • Not afraid to pick up the phone; not satisfied with just “checking the box.”
  • High integrity, reliable, organized, and eager to grow.
  • Bonus: Experience in AEC, construction tech, or selling complex products.
  • Bonus: Hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance SDR workflows.
