Project Role Description :
Enables full stack solutions through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Performs continuous testing for security, API, and regression suite. Creates automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration. Participates in code reviews, monitors, and reports defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.

15 years full time educationSummary: The Lead QA Automation Engineer plays a critical role in shaping the quality assurance vision and driving automation excellence across multiple squads or projects. This senior role demands deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to architect, implement, and optimize comprehensive automation frameworks. The Lead QA Automation Engineer ensures seamless integration of testing within CI/CD pipelines, mentors QA teams, collaborates cross-functionally to align testing with business priorities, and champions quality as a shared responsibility throughout the software delivery lifecycle. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the overall test automation strategy, frameworks, and standards across projects and squads
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of highly scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks supporting functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Partner closely work with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, and Engineering leads to embed quality from requirements through deployment
- Mentor and coach QA engineers and automation testers, fostering best practices and continuous skill development
- Lead automation efforts for complex, multi-component systems ensuring high coverage and reliability
- Drive continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) best practices including integrating automated tests into pipelines for early feedback
- Evaluate and adopt new tools, technologies, and approaches to improve test automation efficiency and effectiveness
- Oversee defect lifecycle management and facilitate cross-team communication to expedite resolution
- Provide leadership in root cause analysis and risk mitigation related to quality issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and manage interdependencies in testing efforts
- Lead exploratory testing sessions to uncover edge cases and usability issues beyond automated test coverage
- Own the quality metrics and reporting to provide transparency on test coverage, automation ROI, and quality health indicators
- Drive innovation in QA processes to enhance product quality and accelerate delivery timelines Professional & Technical Skills: Must Have Skills:
- Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps culture, and quality engineering principles with proven leadership experience in automation teams
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and building custom automation frameworks using Playwright/ Cypress.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing test automation solutions for large-scale, distributed applications
- Expertise with cross-browser/cloud testing platforms such as BrowserStack or equivalent
- Advanced skills in API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools with the ability to automate API test suites
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and infrastructure-as-code for automated deployments
- Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow) and integrating them with automation suites
- Familiarity with performance and security testing concepts, tools, and best practices
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build high-performing QA and automation teams Additional Information:
