Quality Control Manager

Urgently Require Quality Control Manager (Food Industry)

1. Production Quality Control

• Oversee and ensure quality standards are consistently maintained during production.
• Monitor raw materials, in-process checks, and finished products for compliance with food safety norms.
• Conduct sensory, physical, and functional quality checks for: - Ready-to-Eat (RTE) foods, Staples, Frozen products

2. Packaging Quality Control

• Inspect packaging materials and processes for sealing, labelling, and shelf-life stability.
• Verify packaging compliance with domestic & international standards, including: -Weight accuracy, Barcode verification
• Labelling requirements (ingredients, nutrition, allergens, MRP, expiry, batch code, etc.)
• Carton/master carton specifications (material, qty, product name, Batch No, handling symbols).
• Ensure eco-friendly and export-compliant packaging materials are used.

3. Lab Operations & Testing

• Supervise daily QC lab operations (physical, chemical, microbiological testing).
• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of test results.
• Maintain testing records and documentation for audits, inspections, and export certifications.

4. Equipment & Instrumentation

• Ensure calibration, maintenance, and validation of QC instruments.
• Develop SOPs for equipment usage, testing procedures, and preventive maintenance.

5. Compliance & Standards

• Ensure adherence to FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, BRC, FDA, and export quality norms.
• Maintain product traceability and batch-wise records.

6. Process Improvement & Training

• Identify gaps in quality systems and implement Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Conduct training sessions for production, packaging, and warehouse staff on food safety and hygiene.
• Support New Product Development (NPD) through formulation validation, packaging trials, and shelf-life testing.

7. Export & Container Stuffing QC

• Verify compliance with export documentation and inspection norms.
• Inspect products and packaging at warehouses and during container stuffing.
• Coordinate with logistics for cold chain management and shipping compliance (frozen/RTE).
• Travel to other warehouses or client sites, if required, for QC inspections.

8. Cross-Department Coordination

• Work with production, procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams for quality consistency.
• Monitor proper storage, handling, and transport of food items to prevent contamination/damage.

Requirements

• Graduate in Food Technology / Science (or related field).
• Knowledge of domestic & international QC norms, certifications, and packaging compliance.
• Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, QC software, ERP tools).
• Strong understanding of food QC parameters as per domestic & international standards.
• Experience in export documentation and audit handling preferred.
