Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products through the development and execution of manual and automated tests, reporting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality, reliable, and scalable software to our customers51.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for new and existing products.
Prepare detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test documentation.
Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
Perform regression, functional, performance, and security testing to ensure application stability and reliability.
Utilize automation tools (such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.) to build and execute automated test scripts.
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely and meaningful feedback.
Participate in requirement reviews, code/design reviews, and sprint planning meetings.
Track quality assurance metrics (such as defect densities and open defect counts).
Maintain and enhance test data, environments, and frameworks.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., developers, product managers) to clarify system requirements and resolve issues.
Analyze test results, provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders, and suggest improvements.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in resolving customer-reported issues.
Continuously stay informed about new testing tools, strategies, and industry best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in software testing and quality assurance, preferably with both manual and automated testing.
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Proficiency with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Experience with automated testing frameworks is a plus (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and API/performance testing.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA) considered an advantage.
Experience in CI/CD environments and scripting languages.
Knowledge of database testing and SQL.
