As we expand our product footprint, we are looking to onboard a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with hands-on expertise in testing MERN stack-based web and mobile applications, ensuring our end-to-end delivery is robust, user-centric, and production-ready.

Role Objective:

The QA Engineer will ensure quality assurance across applications built using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js, with a focus on testing modern, API-driven, and component-based systems. You will collaborate with our development, DevOps, and UI/UX teams to drive quality through automation, continuous integration, and agile best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for MERN stack applications—both front-end (React) and back-end (Node/Express).
• Conduct manual testing across browsers, devices, and platforms to ensure optimal UI/UX consistency and responsiveness.
• Automate test cases using modern tools and frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, Playwright, or Selenium.
• Perform API testing for RESTful services using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Validate MongoDB data transactions, schema validations, and API integrations with the database.
• Actively participate in sprint planning, user story grooming, and Agile ceremonies to drive test-first development.
• Integrate testing workflows with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.) to ensure continuous testing and delivery.
• Log, track, and report defects using JIRA or equivalent bug tracking tools, ensuring clear reproducibility and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to QA process automation, reusable test case libraries, and internal best practices documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on QA experience, with at least 1-2 years testing MERN stack applications.
• Deep understanding of front-end testing principles (React components, Redux states, DOM manipulation).
• Familiarity with JavaScript and asynchronous testing techniques.
• Proficient in debugging tools (DevTools, Loggers) and test reporting.
• Strong grasp of software testing life cycle (STLC), Agile methodologies, and SDLC workflows.
• Experience with version control (Git/GitHub).
• Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and suggest optimizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of NoSQL testing strategies for MongoDB.
• Prior experience with Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or similar JavaScript testing frameworks.
• Exposure to security testing, cross-site scripting (XSS), and input validation.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certifications.
