We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our trading platforms and financial applications. This role involves designing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies, developing automation frameworks, and collaborating closely with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders. The QA Engineer will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into effective testing solutions, maintaining high standards of software quality throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing high-performance financial systems, with a focus on automation, performance benchmarking, and continuous improvement.Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in QA engineering, particularly within the financial or trading systems domain. Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as C++, Python, and JavaScript is essential for developing testing frameworks and automation tools. Candidates should have extensive experience with automated testing frameworks like pytest, Jest, or Google Test, and be well-versed in various testing methodologies including unit, integration, performance, and load testing. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions is required, along with knowledge of performance benchmarking tools suitable for low-latency environments. A strong understanding of observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack is also important. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or demonstrate equivalent practical experience. Additional preferred qualifications include experience with trading platforms, financial data systems, and knowledge of financial markets and trading protocols.Responsibilities
Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to implementation and ongoing maintenance. Translate complex business needs into detailed technical specifications and comprehensive test plans. Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools using C++, Python, and JavaScript to ensure the robustness of critical trading systems. Create extensive test suites covering functional, performance, and edge-case scenarios, and develop benchmarking tools to measure system latency, throughput, and overall performance in high-frequency trading environments. Contribute to architectural discussions, providing insights to enhance testability and software quality from the ground up. Offer technical support for client implementations and troubleshoot complex issues arising in production. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrated with automated testing procedures. Develop monitoring solutions to track system performance, reliability, and quality metrics in live environments. Write production-quality code to introduce new testing features, tools, and quality improvements. Collaborate with development teams to optimize critical execution paths, identify performance bottlenecks, and enhance system efficiency. Document testing procedures, frameworks, and quality standards thoroughly for internal and external use. Conduct regression testing across multiple trading venues, validating system behavior under various market conditions.
