QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for new features and existing functionalities across front-end, back-end, API, and database layers.
• Perform thorough end-to-end software testing, including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs and issues using defect tracking systems, collaborating closely with development teams for timely resolution.
• Generate detailed test reports, providing clear insights into testing progress, results, and overall product quality.
• Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with development team to resolve more advanced issues when necessary
• Actively participate in the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Test Life Cycle (STLC), contributing to quality gates at every stage.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Test Case Design and Execution, with an ability to create robust and effective test plans.
• Expertise in Bug Reporting and Tracking, utilizing tools such as Jira or similar platforms for efficient defect management.
• Solid understanding of Test Automation concepts, with practical exposure to frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright being a significant advantage.
• Basic Programming/Scripting Skills in languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation purposes.
• Exceptional Attention to Detail, ensuring no defect goes unnoticed.
• Excellent Problem-Solving Skills, capable of diagnosing complex issues and suggesting effective solutions.
• Strong Communication Skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Thorough Understanding of SDLC and STLC principles and methodologies.
• Experience with API Testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
• Proficiency in Database Testing, including writing SQL queries to validate data integrity and consistency.

Experience

• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in testing B2B software applications.
• Proven exposure to end-to-end software testing across all layers, including front-end, back-end, APIs, database, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Demonstrated familiarity with generating comprehensive test plans, detailed test cases, effective test scenarios, and clear test reports.
• Practical exposure to manual testing tools such as Jira, Postman, and other similar platforms.
• Extensive experience testing complex B2X (Business-to-Business, Business-to-Consumer, etc.) applications.
• Mandatory experience with mobile application testing.
• Previous exposure to automation testing methodologies and tools is highly valued, though not necessarily a primary skill for this role.
