What does aQA Analystdo at Hogarth?
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst with excellent validation and QA expertise to provide testing analysis on client websites and other deliverables, through manual and automated testing. You will conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy & design and lead creating, writing and executing test plans, updating test analysis reports, partnering with development teams, writing bug defects, verifying fixes, and testing software pages with very little supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute test cases (manual or automated) across multiple platforms and analyze results
- Certify pre-released pages and web applications against requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix environment
- Communicate and partner with cross functional teams to collaborate and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
- Evaluate HTML and CSS code changes to determine appropriate test strategy
- Communicate risk to leads and managers as needed
- Spot areas for improvement to enhance the product/ process efficiency
- Identify teams strengths and weaknesses and develop an ongoing training program to improve team's testing skills
- Provide guidance and support to testers
- Identify areas of automation in the current test methodology
Requirements
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Ability to pick up new responsibilities and lead small teams for projects
- Use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
- Extensive knowledge of front-end web technologies and automation frameworks
- Understanding of Unix, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Experience with the Agile methodology and regression testing
- Experience working with Git, SVN, CMS, and defect tracking systems
- Ability to come up with test plans and create test cases from project requirements
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of browser variations and rendering engines
- Familiarity testing on MacOS, iOS, Windows and Android
- Experience working on large-scale websites is a plus
- 4+ years of working as a Quality Assurance professional or Web Developer
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
