The Role The purpose of this role is to manage the day to day running of the CGI Chennai/Burrows team and the work through its studio, ensuring that our class leading quality is maintained while delivering clients work in a consistent way. Also, you will be required to produce CGI content alongside your team in-line with the Burrows working practices of producing CGI work, and versioning of originated assets from the main hub. You are also expected to mentor and develop more junior artists of your team to quickly get them to our standards of workmanship. Key responsibilities Responsible for multiple projects, and people on specific jobs and to keep the Head of Product Visualisation, Studio Manager and the Project Management team informed of issues arising in a timely fashion. Be fluent’ in 3d software such as 3D Studio Max, Maya, V-Ray, Nuke and Photoshop and be able to model, texture, light and render to a high standard. Light and render imagery and animations through to comp into final work pieces using the Burrows developed CGI pipeline. To be able to version either existing Burrows CGI content or outside vendor/clients’ content to a high standard. Create photo-realistic CGI content primarily for the automotive industry but also other product manufactures. Regularly assess the Chennai/Burrows CGI team and highlight any potential improvements or training requirements. Consistently share existing knowledge with the team through regular team meetings with in-house team and UK team. Run projects from brief to delivery ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on budget and on brand. Monitor development and identify training needs for direct reports through regular reviews using the Burrows review process. Be a role model and mentor for more junior members of the team, demonstrating a professional approach and ensuring that they aspire to reach the high level and targets that you have set. In addition to all other tasks carry out any reasonable duties as identified by your Line Manager. Requirements: Hands-on CG Generalist with 10+ years of experience in 3D CGI projects Fluent in 3d software such as 3D Studio Max, Maya, V-Ray, Nuke and Photoshop Be highly creative and imaginative Eye for detail & an interest in latest trends and techniques involved Ability to manage complex, multi-worksteam projects Can do attitude and an ability to work under pressure Strong interpersonal and communication skills Highly organised, detail oriented, client focused and proactive
