Purchase Intern

Key Responsibilities

Assist in raising Purchase Orders (POs):

Support the sourcing process by identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, including domestic and international vendors.

Prepare Request for Quotes (RFQs) for components, materials, and services, and coordinate with suppliers to collect quotes.

Analyze supplier quotes:

Help maintain and update the supplier database, ensuring all relevant vendor information (e.g., certifications, performance metrics) is current.

Track supplier performance:

Conduct market research:

Support procurement projects such as cost-reduction initiatives, supplier qualification, or new part onboarding.

Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams to understand technical specifications and quality requirements.

Assist in inventory management by tracking purchase order delivery vs. consumption, and identifying potential material shortages.

Provide administrative support: maintain procurement documentation, follow up on supplier communications, and prepare status reports.

Participate in internal procurement meetings and assist in preparing presentations or updates for stakeholders.

Qualifications / Skills

Recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Industrial, Mechanical), Business Administration, Supply Chain / Operations Management, or a related field.

Strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Good analytical skills, with ability to work with data and prepare reports.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Familiarity with ERP / MRP systems is a plus, but not mandatory.

A basic understanding of manufacturing supply chains or electronics component sourcing is advantageous.

Problem-solving mindset, willingness to learn, and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.

During the Internship Period of 3 Months. We will pay Rs. 5000 as Stipend.

After that, based on the performance, you will move to on-role.
