Purchase Intern

As a Purchase Intern at Chhapai, you will be part of a premium print and design company based in Chandigarh, known for delivering unique and high-quality print solutions. Your role will involve supporting the procurement team in various tasks while learning the fundamentals of purchasing, vendor management, and inventory control in a creative and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in sourcing and evaluating vendors for raw materials and services. - Support the preparation of purchase orders and vendor documentation. - Coordinate with suppliers to track order status and ensure timely deliveries. - Help maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and inventory levels. - Conduct basic market research on pricing, material quality, and vendor alternatives. - Provide day-to-day administrative support to the procurement team. Qualifications: - Completed a Bachelors degree/diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field. - Freshers are welcome; prior internship experience in procurement/operations will be a plus. - Good communication and negotiation potential. - Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. - Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take initiative. - Knowledge of local vendor markets and logistics will be an advantage. In addition to these responsibilities, Chhapai is located in Chandigarh and follows a work schedule from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Saturday. You will be reporting to the Operations Manager or Director. Benefits include paid sick time and paid time off. Relocation to Chandigarh is preferred for this full-time position.
