The role
You’ll be the owner of delivery: clear plans, crisp dates, proactive risk management, and zero surprises. You’ll partner with Product on
what/why and with Engineering on
how, but you keep the project plan, dependencies, and releases on track.
What You’ll Do
- Plan & schedule: Build and maintain a milestone plan, update weekly forecasts, manage critical path and buffers.
- Run the cadence: Backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, reviews/demos, retros (or partner with a Scrum Master where applicable).
- Ticket readiness: Enforce Definition of Ready/Done; ensure stories have acceptance criteria, estimates, and dependencies; add spikes to retire unknowns.
- Dependencies & risk: Maintain a living RAID (Risks/Assumptions/Issues/Dependencies) with owners/dates; escalate early.
- Release management: Coordinate backend → web → mobile releases; handle flags/canary, schema migrations, smoke tests, rollback plans, and store submissions.
- Stakeholder comms: Post succinct status (RYG), EOD/weekly updates, and decision logs; keep leadership and vendors aligned.
- Delivery metrics: Track throughput, carryover %, cycle time, and defect escape rate; improve predictability over time.
You’ll succeed here if you have
- 3+ years delivering software projects in SaaS or product engineering environments.
- Experience shipping web + mobile together and coordinating vendor/API integrations.
- Comfort reading architecture at a high level (APIs, data models, migrations, CI/CD) and using that to shape sequencing.
- Mastery of a modern toolchain (Jira/Linear, Confluence/Notion, GitHub, Slack) and Agile/iterative practices.
- Excellent communication—briefs, risk calls, and status that drive decisions.
Nice to have
- Logistics/transportation domain exposure (TMS, ELDs, compliance).
- Stripe or other billing systems; app store submissions and staged rollouts (RN/Android/iOS).
- Familiarity with TypeScript/Node projects and Postgres migrations; basic SQL to validate data.
- DORA/flow metrics literacy; incident/postmortem experience.
The Pay Range For This Role Is
