Job Role:

Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all aspects of production on the shop floor, ensuring daily targets are met.
• Supervise and optimize job placement, workflow, and movement of components during various stages of manufacturing.
• Design and implement layout plans for new projects including fixtures, gauges, and machinery installation.
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), daily production reports, machine checklists, and breakdown logs.
• Ensure in-process inventory management and a smooth production flow.
• Coordinate with R&D and design teams for successful development and integration of new products or structures.
• Monitor production costs and optimize resource usage to meet budget targets.
• Implement and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and policies.
• Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes through lean practices and automation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and certifications as required for solar product manufacturing.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in solar structure manufacturing or a related field.
• Strong understanding of solar mounting structures and fabrication techniques.
• Experience in handling production machinery, tools, and quality control processes.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
• Proficiency in production planning software, MS Excel, and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Preferred:

• Exposure to renewable energy or solar projects.
• Knowledge of CAD drawings, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
• Prior experience in setting up new production lines or greenfield manufacturing units.
