Description
As a Production Planning & Control Manager, your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement production schedules that align with sales forecasts and customer demands. You will efficiently allocate resources to ensure production targets are met and monitor key performance indicators such as output, downtime, efficiency, and waste reduction. In the realm of Team Management, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of the production team, comprising engineers, supervisors, and machine operators. Providing training and development opportunities to enhance team competencies will be crucial, as well as enforcing discipline, safety protocols, and adherence to company policies. Quality Assurance is a vital aspect of this role, where you will be tasked with ensuring that all machinery produced meets the required technical and quality standards, such as ISO and BIS certifications. Collaborating with the Quality Control team to implement and monitor quality systems, as well as investigating and resolving production issues and quality complaints, will be part of your responsibilities. Process Improvement will also fall under your purview, involving the implementation of lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen practices to enhance operational efficiency. Identifying bottlenecks, suggesting corrective actions, and participating in cost reduction initiatives without compromising product quality will be essential for continuous improvement. Your role will also entail Coordination & Reporting, where you will collaborate with R&D, design, procurement, and maintenance departments. Maintaining regular production reports and presenting them to upper management, as well as liaising with clients for technical support and customization needs, will be crucial for effective communication and operations.
