Production Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our furniture manufacturing operations. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring smooth production processes, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing productivity while adhering to company policies, safety standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

● Plan, organize, and direct production operations to meet daily and monthly targets.

● Supervise the complete manufacturing process, including cutting, machining, assembly, finishing, and packaging.

● Ensure adherence to production schedules and coordinate with departments such as Design, Purchase, and Quality Control for smooth workflow.

● Implement and monitor Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen practices for process improvement.

● Manage manpower allocation, performance evaluation, and skill development of production staff.

● Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized production environment.

● Control production costs by efficient resource utilization and waste reduction.

● Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and ensure optimal performance of machinery and tools.

● Prepare and present regular production and efficiency reports to senior management.

● Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and timely resolution of any production issues.

Qualifications & Experience

● Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering.

● Minimum 5 -15 years of relevant experience in the furniture manufacturing industry.

● Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials (wood, metal, MDF, laminates, veneers, plywood, etc.), and modern production machinery (CNC, edge banding, beam saw, drilling, router, etc.).

● Proven experience in production planning, manpower management, and process optimization.

● Knowledge of ERP systems, production planning tools, and data reporting.

● Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
