Production Manager (R&D & Operations)

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

• Lead daily manufacturing operations for EV components, battery packs, and solar energy products.
• 
  
• Plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to meet delivery, quality, and cost targets.
• 
  
• Ensure adherence to manufacturing standards, safety regulations, and environmental norms.
• 
  
• Oversee production budgets, resource utilization, and efficiency optimization.
• 
  
• Collaborate with supply chain and procurement for material planning and vendor coordination.

Research & Development (R&D):

• Partner with R&D teams to translate new product concepts into scalable manufacturing processes.
• 
  
• Supervise pilot trials, prototype development, and process validation activities.
• 
  
• Optimize production methods, equipment layouts, and materials for higher efficiency and performance.
• 
  
• Support innovation in

  battery assembly, BMS integration, EV drivetrain systems, and solar panel manufacturing

  .
• 
  
• Drive technology transfer from lab-scale to mass production while ensuring product consistency and reliability.

Operations Excellence:

• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to improve productivity.
• 
  
• Utilize MBA-level analytical and strategic skills to enhance operational efficiency and reduce production costs.
• 
  
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for production, quality, and yield improvement.
• 
  
• Integrate digital tools and ERP systems for production planning and process automation.

Quality, Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with ISO, BIS, and environmental safety standards.
• 
  
• Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain product reliability and traceability.
• 
  
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Team Leadership:

• Lead, train, and mentor production supervisors, engineers, and operators.
• 
  
• Promote a collaborative and safety-first work environment.
• 
  
• Develop cross-functional alignment between R&D, Quality, Maintenance, and Projects teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.Tech / M.Tech

  in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering.
• 
  

• MBA in Operations Management

  (mandatory).
• 
  

• 8–12 years

  of progressive experience in

  production management and R&D

  within

  EV, battery, or solar energy industries

  .
• 
  
• Strong technical knowledge of:
• 
  

• Battery assembly (Li-ion/LFP)

• 
  

• BMS systems & EV components

• 
  

• Solar module manufacturing processes

• Proven experience in process development, product trials, and production optimization.
• 
  
• Familiarity with ERP tools, lean practices, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
