Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operations of our factory. This role involves coordinating with multiple teams to ensure smooth production flow, maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing resources, and leading the factory staff to achieve operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Factory Operations: Take ownership of daily factory operations, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to schedules, and seamless coordination across departments. Team Leadership: Conduct daily team meetings to address attendance, material flow, production targets, quality concerns, training needs, and other operational priorities. Lead, guide, and motivate factory staff to achieve production goals. Production Planning: Coordinate with the design and planning teams to ensure timely production based on specifications, deadlines, and capacity. Reporting and Improvements: Report regularly to the Director of Operations on key metrics, challenges, and improvement initiatives. Drive continuous improvements in production efficiency and quality. Machine Maintenance: Ensure timely preventive maintenance, servicing, and upkeep of all factory machinery and tools. Monitor overall plant cleanliness and housekeeping. Stakeholder Interaction: Attend to buyers, quality auditors, inspectors, and other external visitors. Represent the factory professionally and ensure compliance with required standards. Problem-Solving: Proactively manage and resolve issues related to production delays, absenteeism, manpower shortages, machinery breakdowns, etc., in coordination with senior management. Process Supervision: Supervise all manufacturing processes, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with quality expectations. Process Improvement: Work collaboratively with engineering and quality teams to develop solutions that reduce costs, optimize labor, and improve productivity and quality. Training & Development: Identify skill gaps and provide recommendations and training to production staff to enhance performance. Quality Assurance: Monitor product quality, assess production risks, and implement corrective measures to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Capacity Planning: Lead factory capacity planning and resource optimization initiatives to meet both short-term and long-term production demands. Sales Support: Collaborate with the Sales team by providing technical inputs and product knowledge support as required. Performance Management: Conduct periodic employee performance reviews and contribute to the professional development of factory staff. Requirements : Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or production setup. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. In-depth knowledge of production processes, machinery, and quality control standards. Ability to manage diverse teams and work under pressure. Familiarity with safety and compliance standards. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (preferred).
