Product Owner

is a dedicated role responsible for representing customer interests during the agile application development process. The

Product Owner

works with Product Managers who have defined features and translates their product vision in to production reality.

About the Role

: We are seeking a talented Technical Product Owner (PO) to join our Payment Infrastructure Product Management team and help drive the evolution of our infra and platform microservices products. This role focuses on defining new components, enhancing existing systems, and collaborating closely with engineering to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure solutions. . This role will report into the Director - Product Management for Payments Infra & Platform.Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs with the Product Manager to define future capabilities.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams using Agile methodologies to define scope and priorities.
  • Review and accept/reject completed user stories based on quality and completeness.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Product and Engineering.
  • Participate in customer discussions to gather and refine requirements.

Essential Qualifications

  • Academic background in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 8–12 years of overall experience in Banking or Payments software or infrastructure domains.
  • Working as technical PO, hands-on technical designer or tech lead roles
  • Experienced as Product owner, Requirements Analyst or System Architect.
  • Proven experience in designing end-to-end product solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Technical Knowledge
  • Java 11 or higher, JSP/Angular UI
  • Kafka, Apache Camel, Vert.X
  • PostgreSQL, Oracle database
  • Kubernetes, JBoss/WildFly/Weblogic, MQ
  • Grafana, Prometheus, Logstash
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of MS ecosystem (development, architecture, security) . Distributed systems design.
  • Good understanding of cloud-native architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices.
Soft Skills & Preferences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
  • Self-driven and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Exposure to Payments or Financial Services domain is preferred.
