Procurement Specialist

Role Overview The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services required for Param's exhibits, events, workshops, and operational needs. This role requires strong vendor management skills, a solid understanding of procurement procedures, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams to meet project requirements. Key Responsibilities ● Manage the complete procurement cycle, including sourcing, vendor evaluation, price negotiation, and purchase order creation. ● Identify reliable vendors and maintain strong supplier relationships. ● Coordinate with internal teams to understand procurement needs for exhibits, workshops, events, and maintenance. ● Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and consumables while maintaining cost efficiency. ● Review and compare quotations, negotiate contracts, and finalise purchase agreements. ● Track order status, delivery timelines, and follow up with vendors for timely fulfilment.  ● Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and vendor databases. ● Collaborate with the inventory and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow and resolve supply-related issues. ● Ensure compliance with organisational procurement policies and quality standards. ● Assist in budget planning by providing cost estimates and procurement forecasts. Required Skills & Qualifications ● Bachelor’s degree or diploma in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related fields. ● 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain roles. ● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with procurement or ERP software. ● Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. ● Excellent organisational skills with a strong eye for detail. ● Ability to manage multiple procurement tasks and meet deadlines. ● Knowledge of basic contract terms and procurement compliance.
