Role Overview:

PolyCycl is seeking a technically qualified and experienced Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement for projects and operations, including capital equipment, plant machinery, and pilot plant requirements. The role involves close coordination with the Project Head and CEO to ensure procurement efficiency, cost optimization, and technical compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Procurement (Greenfield & Brownfield)

Lead end-to-end procurement for capital equipment, plant machinery, and project materials

(Project value up to INR 50 Cr).

Vendor identification, pre-qualification, evaluation, and onboarding.

Prepare and issue RFQ / RFP documentation and manage vendor follow-ups.

Conduct technical & commercial bid evaluations.

Generate internal cost estimates for equipment and packages.

Lead commercial negotiations, price finalization, and contract closure.

Issue POs and manage post-order follow-ups.

Track deliveries, timelines, and generate procurement status reports.

Coordinate payments and post-payment services.

Manage supply chain & logistics coordination, including material tracking.

2. Operations / Manufacturing / R&D Support

Procurement of consumables, chemicals, spares, and raw materials.

Stock keeping and inventory coordination for pilot plant operations.

Equipment ordering and vendor coordination for maintenance and services.

Service provider coordination and follow-up.

3. Import & Compliance Management

Handle import procurement, including LC documentation, customs clearance, and logistics coordination.

Maintain robust procurement documentation, PO tracking, and policy compliance.

Support audit, budgeting, and cost control initiatives.

Skills & Competencies Required:

Strong technical understanding of process equipment and plant systems.

Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Tally).

Proficient in MS Office (reports, tracking, documentation).

Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization skills.

Ability to coordinate across engineering, projects, operations, and management teams.

Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
