Company: Hotel Investment Group & Skynet Pros Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $7 per hour Work Hours: Pacific Time Zone business hours (Between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM PDT) About Us Hotel Investment Group and our sister company, Skynet Pros, are launching a new services outsourcing business dedicated to streamlining HR operations for our clients. Our services include payroll processing, onboarding and offboarding, performance evaluations, claims management, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Assistant to maintain impeccable HR documentation standards and support various HR functions. Key ResponsibilitiesDocument Management & Compliance Maintain complete and accurate records of employment documents for all client companies. Conduct periodic audits to ensure employment documents are up-to-date and compliant with California employment laws and company requirements. Relentlessly follow up with General Managers to ensure timely completion and submission of employment forms. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including California-specific regulations. Prepare and maintain HR reports related to document compliance as required by clients. Payroll Processing Coordinate and manage accurate and timely payroll for client companies. Address payroll discrepancies and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations. Assist with tax filings and year-end payroll documentation. Onboarding & Offboarding Facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new hires, including background checks, contract preparation, and documentation. Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize new hires with company policies and procedures. Manage offboarding procedures, including exit interviews and final settlements. Performance Evaluations Monitor and ensure regular performance evaluations are completed for employees across client organizations. Provide guidance to managers on performance review best practices. Maintain records of performance evaluations and suggest improvements to processes. Collaboration & Communication Act as a point of contact for General Managers to facilitate document submission and resolve discrepancies. Escalate issues related to incomplete or non-compliant documentation to HR managers or client representatives. Support HR teams in maintaining organized personnel files and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive employee data. QualificationsEducation Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). Experience Minimum of 2 years in an HR Assistant or similar role, with experience in document management, payroll processing, or compliance. Familiarity with California employment laws and regulations. Experience working remotely with international or multi-site teams is a plus. Skills Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in HR software, payroll systems, and document management systems. Strong communication skills for coordinating with General Managers and other stakeholders. Knowledge of California employment laws and compliance requirements.
