Remote Procurement Specialist

 

Department: Corporate Operations / Procurement

Company: Hotel Investment Group

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time

Hourly Rate: $7 - $8 per hour


Job Summary

The Remote Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services for Hotel Investment Group’s portfolio of hotels and properties. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery, vendor compliance, and adherence to company procurement policies while supporting hotel operations remotely.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of FF&E, OS&E, operating supplies, maintenance materials, and services.

• Review and approve purchase requests from hotel General Managers and department heads.

• Ensure purchases align with approved budgets and company policies.

• Create, issue, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.

• Source, evaluate, and onboard vendors remotely.

• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service-level agreements.

• Monitor vendor performance and resolve pricing or delivery issues.

• Analyze procurement spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Coordinate with Accounting and Finance for invoice matching and payments.

• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.


Qualifications

• A degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Supply Chain Management, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred).

• 2–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in hospitality or multi-property operations.

• Experience working in a remote environment preferred.


Skills & Competencies

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

• Knowledge of hospitality procurement and cost control.

• Proficiency in Excel and procurement/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Bill.com).

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote setting.


Remote Work Expectations

• Reliable internet connection and availability for virtual meetings.

• Ability to support hotel operations during standard business hours.

• Willingness to install work monitoring software

• Adaptability to flexible working hours
