Job Description

Procurement Manager


Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, consumables, and non-medical supplies.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships.
  • Ensure the procurement of cost-effective, high-quality products in compliance with healthcare standards.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with local, national, and international vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure timely delivery, quality, and service.
  • Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts and agreements.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management

  • Collaborate with operations and medical teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Implement effective inventory control systems to reduce wastage and stock-outs.
  • Oversee logistics, warehousing, and distribution of supplies across clinics and hospitals.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to hospital standards, statutory regulations, and quality certifications.
  • Conduct audits to ensure suppliers meet compliance requirements.
  • Ensure ethical procurement practices and compliance with company policies.

Financial & Cost Control

  • Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through bulk purchasing and supplier consolidation.
  • Track expenses and report on procurement KPIs.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the procurement & supply chain team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and clinical teams.
  • Establish SOPs for procurement processes across all hospitals/clinics.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or related field

    (MBA/PGDM preferred).
  • Minimum

    6–8 years of experience

    in procurement, preferably in the healthcare/hospital industry.
  • Strong knowledge of

    medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare consumables procurement

    .
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP/procurement systems and MS Office.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Delhi and North India for vendor and hospital coordination.
