Procurement Manager

Job Description

ResponsibilitiesManage the procurement of raw materials, components, and machinery parts specifically for CNC machine tools production.Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and build long-term relationships with key vendors to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.Monitor and analyze market trends, industry developments, and supplier performance to ensure cost-effective procurement and minimize production delays.Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality control teams to ensure that the purchased materials and parts meet the required specifications and standards.Coordinate the timely delivery of materials to support production schedules and reduce lead times.Oversee the inventory management of critical parts and materials, ensuring optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.Manage supplier performance through regular reviews, audits, and KPIs to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost targets.Resolve any issues related to supplier quality, delivery delays, or discrepancies in orders.Prepare and maintain procurement reports, including cost analysis, savings, and procurement forecasts, for senior management.Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Mentor and lead junior procurement staff, providing guidance on best practices and procurement strategies. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.At least 8 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on the CNC machine tool industry or related manufacturing sectors.In-depth knowledge of CNC machining processes, components, and raw materials.Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable terms with suppliers.Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong understanding of supply chain management and inventory control.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.Fluency in English
