Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to oversee the company’s purchasing activities. The role involves developing procurement strategies, negotiating with vendors, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality sourcing of goods and services. The ideal candidate should possess strong negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills, with a thorough understanding of supply chain management and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage effective procurement strategies to support business objectives.
  • Source, identify, and evaluate reliable vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and legal requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and process purchase orders, contracts, and agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (finance, operations, projects, etc.) to forecast demand and plan procurement needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, budgets, and supplier information.
  • Monitor market trends, analyse costs, and identify opportunities for savings.
  • Manage procurement risks and resolve supplier-related issues.
  • Optimize inventory levels and reduce procurement-related expenses.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the procurement team to achieve departmental targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing, procurement processes, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage budgets and make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership skills with experience in managing a team.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
