Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PMO Lead to establish and manage the Project Management Office for AI-first digital engineering organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the firm-wide delivery operations framework, governance, and best practices for all project management activities. This role requires a dynamic professional with deep expertise in project management methodologies, compliance, and resource management to drive operational excellence and ensure the successful, repeatable delivery of projects.

Responsibilities
Delivery Framework and Methodology
- Design and implement a scalable and efficient delivery framework for all projects, ensuring consistency and predictability.
- Define and enforce standard project management methodologies, processes, templates, and tools across the organization.
- Champion best practices in project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, incorporating lessons learned from past projects.
- Develop and implement processes for managing project scope, timelines, and budgets effectively.
Governance and Compliance
- Establish and maintain a robust project governance structure that includes clear decision-making processes, reporting hierarchies, and accountability.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of project processes and documentation to ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
- Work with stakeholders to define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and project success metrics.
- Manage the repository of project documentation, artifacts, and lessons learned to ensure knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
Operations Management
- Allocation and de-allocation of technical and project resources across all projects to optimize utilization and balance workloads.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date resource skill inventories to support project staffing decisions and overall utilization.
- Create comprehensive dashboards and reports on project health, risks, issues, and overall portfolio performance.
- Proactively identify and escalate project risks, issues, and variances, and facilitate timely corrective actions.
Leadership and Mentorship
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to project managers and other team members on PMO best practices and tools.
- Act as a change agent to foster a culture of project management excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams, department heads, and senior executives.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Masters in Business Administration from the top-B schools
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with project and portfolio management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Trello, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- experience in project or program management, in a PMO leadership role within an IT services or consulting environment.
- Proven experience in setting up a new PMO function and establishing project delivery frameworks from the ground up.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or other relevant certifications.
