Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR strategy aligned with plant and corporate objectives.
  • Act as a key member of the plant leadership team, contributing to strategic decisions.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness, manpower planning, and productivity initiatives.

2. Industrial Relations & Compliance

  • Maintain healthy employee relations and proactively address grievances.
  • Liaise with local authorities, labour departments, and unions to ensure compliance.
  • Handle negotiations, disciplinary actions, and statutory audits smoothly.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with labour laws, factory act, and other legal requirements.

3. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Oversee recruitment for staff and workmen in line with business expansion.
  • Drive onboarding, training, and capability-building programs.
  • Ensure right manpower mix for efficiency and cost optimization.

4. Performance & Rewards

  • Implement performance management processes and KRA-based reviews.
  • Drive compensation benchmarking and internal equity across levels.
  • Recognize and reward high performers, fostering a culture of accountability.

5. Employee Engagement & Culture Building

  • Build a culture of ownership, discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead communication forums, welfare programs, and employee connect initiatives.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and workplace safety.

6. HR Operations & Systems

  • Manage payroll, attendance, time office, and HRIS operations.
  • Oversee HR budget, MIS, and reporting.
  • Implement HR automation and digital record management.

Qualification & Experience

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or Industrial Relations (from a reputed institute).
  • 15–20 years of HR experience, with

    at least 5 years in a leadership role

    at a

    steel / heavy engineering / process manufacturing plant

    .
  • Strong exposure to

    IR, compliance, workforce engagement, and HR operations

    .
  • Proven ability to manage large blue-collar and staff workforce in an industrial setup.
