PCB Design & Layout
- Develop PCB layouts and drawings from design concepts, sketches, or verbal instructions.
- Utilize CAD tools (Mentor Graphics, Altium, or equivalent) for schematic capture and PCB design.
- Apply design standards such as Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT).
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering prints, BOMs, and related documentation.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
- Work closely with engineers and other business functions to meet functional and manufacturability requirements.
- Maintain component databases for broader team including schematic symbols, PCB footprints and vendor information
- Participate and lead design reviews to validate design integrity.
- Interact with vendors and customers to resolve engineering design issues.
Prototype Development & Verification
- Coordinate procurement of prototype materials and oversee build and verification processes.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives and design improvements for new and existing products.
- Assist in proposal documentation, qualification test procedures, and technical reports.
Quality Assurance & Standards Compliance
- Maintain parts libraries and update schematics in an organized manner.
- Check design work for compliance with form, fit, function, and specifications.
- Maintain documentation and version control of PCB designs through gerber package creation and assist with PCBA and product BOM management
- Ensure designs meet reliability, performance, and delivery targets.
