Payroll & Compliance Executive (Mandatory SAP Payroll Module Experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & Compliance Executive to manage end-to-end payroll processing and statutory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the SAP Payroll module and a strong understanding of labour laws, tax regulations, audit requirements and the ability to coordinate employee onboarding processes. .

This role ensures timely and accurate payroll execution while maintaining full compliance with applicable laws, internal policies and smooth employee lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:

• Process monthly payroll using

  SAP Payroll module

  , ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain payroll records, salary structures, and employee compensation data.
• Manage salary revisions, bonuses, arrears, and full & final settlements.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance teams for payroll inputs and reconciliations.
• Generate and validate payroll reports, payslips, and bank statements.
• Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Time Office & Attendance Management:

• Oversee daily attendance tracking and leave management systems.
• Validate attendance data for payroll processing.
• Monitor absenteeism, overtime, and shift schedules.
• Ensure timely updates of attendance records in SAP or integrated systems.
• Coordinate with department heads for attendance regularization and approvals.

Joining & Onboarding Coordination:

• Coordinate pre-joining formalities including document collection and verification.
• Facilitate onboarding activities such as induction, ID creation, and system access.
• Ensure timely creation of employee records in SAP.
• Liaise with IT/Admin/HR teams for smooth onboarding experience.
• Maintain onboarding checklists and track completion status.

Compliance & Statutory Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with

  PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS

  , and other statutory requirements.
• File monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns (e.g., Form 24Q, PF ECR, ESI returns).
• Liaise with government authorities and auditors for inspections and audits.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labour laws and tax regulations.
• Prepare and submit reports for internal and external audits.

System & Process Management:

• Configure and maintain payroll settings in SAP (wage types, infotypes, schemas).
• Collaborate with SAP consultants for system upgrades and issue resolution.
• Automate payroll processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure data security and confidentiality of payroll information.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate documentation of payroll processes and compliance records.
• Prepare MIS reports related to payroll costs, headcount, and statutory liabilities.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to employee costs.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Masters degree in HR, Finance, or related field.
• Handson Experience / Certification in SAP HCM/Payroll is highly desirable.

Experience:

• 4 - 9 years of experience in payroll and compliance.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with

  SAP Payroll module

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SAP HCM/Payroll, Excel, and payroll software.
• Knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
• Familiarity with payroll audits and reconciliations.
