Job Summary


The Manager Compensation & Benefits is responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing compensation and benefits programs to attract, retain, and motivate employees. The role includes salary benchmarking, policy formulation, payroll coordination, compliance management, benefits administration, and driving C&B strategic initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation Management

  • Develop, implement, and manage compensation structures, salary bands, and job leveling frameworks.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking, market research, and compensation surveys to ensure competitiveness.
  • Oversee annual compensation cycles including increments, variable pay, bonuses, and merit reviews.
  • Support development of compensation policies and ensure consistent application.
  • Evaluate job positions using market data and internal equity analysis.

Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits programs such as medical insurance, life insurance, wellness programs, and company reimbursements.
  • Liaise with insurance providers, brokers, and third-party vendors for benefit renewals and policy management.
  • Manage enrollment, claims resolution, and employee queries related to benefits.
  • Monitor and improve employee benefits experience.

Payroll & Compliance

  • Coordinate with payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, gratuity, bonus, labor laws, etc.).
  • Maintain documentation for audits and support statutory and internal audit processes.
  • Monitor compensation-related risks, ensure data integrity, and maintain HR records.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Prepare compensation dashboards, cost analyses, and management reports.
  • Conduct CTC modeling, budgeting, and scenario analysis for compensation planning.
  • Track KPIs such as attrition costs, payroll accuracy, benefit utilization, and compensation ROI.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and Business Leaders for C&B matters.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on compensation decisions, policies, and benefits.
  • Support organizational restructuring, increments, promotions, and workforce planning.

Strategy & Initiatives

  • Drive C&B digitalization and automation initiatives.
  • Lead reward and recognition program enhancements.
  • Recommend new compensation strategies based on organizational goals and workforce trends.
