Payments Operations Associate
, youll be responsible for ensuring smooth transaction workflows, resolving payment issues, and supporting both merchants and internal stakeholders.You’ll act as a key bridge between our product, tech, support, and merchant teams — keeping payment engines running smoothly while identifying areas to optimize and scale. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role in one of the most critical functions at GoKwik.
What You Will Own
- Payments Operations
- Monitor and process daily payment transactions with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve transactional issues such as failures, fraud alerts, or chargebacks
- Collaborate with technical and product teams to ensure payment system performance and reliability
- Manage and configure success tracking systems, traffic routing rules, and understand PG (Payment Gateway) flows for optimal transaction performance
- Merchant & Customer Support
- Act as the first point of contact for all payment-related queries from merchants and internal teams
- Guide merchants and customers through issue resolution processes, ensuring clear and prompt communication
- Support merchant onboarding by ensuring compliance with payment setup requirements
- Reporting & Data Analytics
- Track and report key performance metrics such as transaction success rates and reconciliation status
- Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and potential risks
- Regularly monitor gateway performance to ensure optimal uptime and experience
- Compliance & Process Excellence
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and company policies across all payment operations
- Contribute to building SOPs, playbooks, and internal best practices for operational consistency and scale
- Assist in implementation of risk mitigation strategies to maintain trust and system integrity
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams (Tech, Product, Support, Finance) to streamline issue resolution and feedback loops
- Handle ad-hoc outreach to customers or merchants to assist with tasks or complete payment-related workflows
- Help identify areas of automation or tool enhancements to reduce manual dependency
You’re a Great Fit If You...
- Have 1–3 years of experience in payments, fintech, eCommerce ops, or financial services
- Are hands-on with transaction monitoring, reconciliation, and payment platforms
- Have experience or working knowledge of configuring payment flows, success tracking systems, and PG routing logic
- Bonus: Exposure to the eCommerce or D2C ecosystem is a plus
