Your Role And Responsibilities
This is an Order Handling Specialist – for ELSP Power Protection Business, at Global Grade 14, reporting to P&F Manager, Business Area Electrification located in Bangalore and will be responsible for Order handling/Execution and end to end resolution of Post sales customer requests and for the execution of warranty of Product / customer complaints/ dispute process in timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.The work model for the role is:This role is contributing to the Smart power business for Nelamangala, Bangalore- India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Sales Order Management – Enter and process customer purchase orders in SAP accurately, ensuring compliance with ABB regulations and managing amendments or cancellations as per customer requirements.
- Order Accuracy & Reporting – Maintain a clear order backlog with confirmed commitments, conduct root cause analysis to ensure Error Free Orders (EFO), and prepare KPI and performance reports.
- Customer Support & Coordination – Act as the face of ABB to resolve customer and FES inquiries, follow up on deliveries, and handle order modifications such as rescheduling or unblocking.
- Operational Excellence – Ensure smooth shipment processes by obtaining required documentation, manage customer relationships, and collaborate with teams to meet SLAs and business objectives.
Qualifications for the role:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Order Management or Operations Management roles.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP) and SFDC, with advanced process and data management skills.
- Experienced in applying structured problem-solving methodologies to resolve operational challenges.
- BE / B. Tech – Mechanical / Electrical or MBA Finance from a recognized institution.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel) for reporting and analysis.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels and with customers.
- Well-structured and proficient, skilled at navigating a lively workplace and facilitating the sharing of best practices across groups.
