Your Responsibilities

  • Lead deployment of Operational Excellence initiatives, Lean, and other CI methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, TPM, SMED, etc.) in manufacturing operations
  • Facilitate value stream mapping, root cause analysis (RCA), and waste elimination projects
  • Identify, execute and govern process improvement initiatives that drive efficiency, yield, and OEE improvements in Fabrication, Painting & Assembly
  • Performance Management & KPI Tracking of Plant Metrices
  • Define and govern plant-level KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People) with process functions
  • Drive visual management and problem-solving culture at Shopfloor by engaging cross functional members and teams
  • Conduct regular process audits and performance reviews with cross-functional teams
  • Define Utilization metrices and support operations team in monitoring and achieving utilization plans that aligns with business objectives
  • Collaborate with ME team to optimize layouts, workstation ergonomics, cycle times, and material flow
  • Support equipment upgrades and new line setup standardization, and automation/Industry 4.0 implementation
  • Work with design and quality engineering to define DFx (Assembly, Fabrication, Machining & Paint) ensure standardization and robust production process documents (PFMEA, Control Plan)
  • Coach shop floor teams and engineers in Lean tools and structured problem solving (A3, DMAIC) to build capability of shop floor team
  • Develop and institutionalize standard work and best practices across shifts and lines
  • Lead cost reduction projects (direct and indirect) through yield improvements, downtime reduction, and process automation
  • Support digital transformation projects related to MES, OEE tracking, and predictive maintenance

What You Bring

  • Proficient knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Industrial engineering principles with strong background in Manufacturing Engineering – Fabrication process
  • Hands-on experience in production processes, factory layouts, and CI project management
  • Data-driven decision making, process thinking, and structured problem-solving
  • Excellent facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab/Power BI, and digital manufacturing tools
  • Certification: Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, TPM Practitioner, PMP
  • Experience with digital transformation in manufacturing (IoT, MES, analytics)
  • Hands on experience in ERPs.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Education Qualification

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Industrial / Production / Manufacturing Engineering from a reputed University

Experience

8+ years in Heavy Engineering Industry Set up with proven experience in Lean, Six Sigma (Green / Black belt), TPM or OpEx programs and Manufacturing Engineering
