Role Overview: The Middleware & Linux Server Administrator is responsible for configuring, monitoring, and maintaining Linux servers and middleware applications such as JBoss and Tomcat. The role involves troubleshooting issues proactively, managing tickets through ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, and Jira, and ensuring high availability and performance of critical systems. The position requires working in a 24x7 rotational shift environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving process improvements through automation. Mentoring junior team members and maintaining SLA/KPI commitments are key aspects of this role. Responsibilities: Configure, monitor, and maintain Linux servers and middleware applications (Jboss, Tomcat) across various environments (Production, Pre-production, Test). Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly using monitoring tools like Dynatrace (preferred) and other diagnostic utilities. Handle incident, change, problem, and service requests efficiently via ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy. Support and participate in 24x7 rotational shifts to ensure system availability and operational continuity. Collaborate with customers and project teams for process enhancements and automation initiatives. Develop and implement automation solutions using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and OpenShift. Manage application deployment pipelines, configuration management, and packaging. Administer cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Linux XEN). Manage certificate renewals (SSL, self-signed) and perform Linux OS upgrades and patching. Support infrastructure setup for new business units and ensure compliance with SLA/KPI.
