Role Overview

Senior Export Merchandiser

The role involves close coordination with buyers, suppliers, internal teams, and senior leadership, including direct presentations to the Managing Director on product viability and business potential.

Key Responsibilities

Export Merchandising & Buyer Coordination

• Manage export orders from

  inquiry, costing, and order confirmation to dispatch

• Act as the primary interface with

  international buyers, agents, and partners

• Coordinate samples, approvals, specifications, and timelines
• Track production and ensure on-time delivery
• Handle export documentation in coordination with logistics and accounts
• Resolve buyer or execution issues proactively

Product Development, Sourcing & Commercial Analysis

• Identify and evaluate

  new product opportunities

  (bicycle parts and engineered products)
• Develop sourcing networks across

  India and international markets

• Coordinate with suppliers to assess feasibility, quality, and lead times
• Prepare detailed

  Excel-based cost sheets, pricing models, and profitability analysis

• Build purchase vs selling economics and present clear recommendations to senior management
• Support trial orders, vendor onboarding, and market testing

Internal Coordination & Reporting

• Work closely with production, quality, operations, logistics, and finance teams
• Maintain structured reports on margins, supplier performance, order status, and timelines
• Continuously improve merchandising, sourcing, and reporting processes

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5–10 years of experience in

  export merchandising, sourcing, or product development

• Prior experience in

  developing markets or products

  (mandatory)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and export workflows
• Advanced

  Excel skills

  (costing, profitability analysis, comparisons)
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Willingness to travel for sourcing and product development
• Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business, or related field
