What You’ll Do
- Own test strategy & plan: Define scope, approach, entry/exit criteria, environments, data, and timelines per release/sprint.
- IC- Individual contributor and own end to end testing and signoffs from UAT.
- Azure Boards: Create/maintain testing Epics/Features/Stories, link defects, manage queries/boards, and report status using dashboards.
- Azure Test Plans: Build test suites (static/requirement-based), write high-quality test cases with shared steps/parameters, manage runs, and track outcomes.
- Defect management: Run daily triage with Engineering/PO, prioritize via impact/severity, ensure clear, reproducible bugs with root-cause notes.
- Risk-based testing: Drive coverage for high-risk areas; ensure traceability (Req → Test → Defect) and measurable readiness.
- Stakeholder communication: Provide crisp, data-driven updates (go/no-go, risks, mitigations) to Product/Eng leadership.
- Lead automation collaboration: Coordinate with the automation engineers (e.g., Playwright/Selenium, API tests) to identify candidates for automation, review test design, and align on coverage.
- Quality gates & governance: Enforce DoR/DoD, entry/exit criteria, and sign-off checklists; contribute to release readiness.
- Mentor & upskill: Coach testers on test design, exploratory testing, and ADO best practices; review test artifacts.
- Non-functional awareness: Collaborate on smoke, regression, UAT, compatibility, accessibility, and basic performance checks (partnering with specialists where needed).
- Documentation: Maintain RTM, test summary reports, and knowledge base of known issues/workarounds.
