Position Summary

We are recruiting for a

Manager – Market Access

based in

Mumbai

.The Manager- Market Access will be part of the Market Access Team of J&J India and will be responsible for leading the identification, development, and communication of the Value proposition for J&J Innovative Medicine (IM) portfolio across key payers, decision makers and other stakeholders across India. In addition, the individual will be also driving value beyond convention clinical science by developing innovative health economic models as well as identifying potential partnership opportunities to maximize access.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Access & Support Program (50%)

  • Design and oversee patient support initiatives to improve access and adherence.
  • Partners with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop innovative patient assistance programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support programs, ensuring compliance and patient satisfaction.
  • Advocate for patient needs within the organization to enhance program offerings.
  • Develop and submit proposals as well as take accountability towards delivering access plans through a project management approach.
  • Understanding the access barriers, unmet needs and gaps within the reimbursed and payer landscape of India to create and deliver standardized and customized value propositions/solutions.

Pricing Support (40%)

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with market dynamics and company objectives.
  • Conduct competitive pricing analysis and market research to inform pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing cases/models support commercial and access goals.
  • Provide pricing insights and support for reimbursement negotiations and health technology assessments.
  • Active operational pricing support including NPPA/Pricing Authority representations, pricing governance reports, pricing audit etc.

Value Identification & Communication (10%)

  • Develop compelling value propositions and communication strategies tailored to payers, providers, and patients.
  • Prepare and deliver value dossiers, presentations, and other materials to support market access and reimbursement.
  • Stay updated on evolving healthcare policies, payer requirements, and evidence standards.
  • Collaborate with medical affairs and marketing teams to ensure consistent and impactful messaging.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Health Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 3-6 years’ experience of working in consulting firm or Pharma Company and preferably 2 years in a Market Access Role
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement landscapes, and patient support mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and market research.
  • Technical skills pertaining to Health Economics and simplifying complex information preferred.

Experience And Skills

  • Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills, demonstrating ability to drive collaboration across teams, and support prudent risk-taking with high integrity standard.
  • Demonstrates how to lead and influence within a matrix organization.
  • Ability to build strong networks in- and outside of company.
  • Ability to leverage knowledge of marketplace and competitor landscape translates them into clear short term and long-term strategies.
  • Self-driven with proven track record of innovative approach and learning agility and effectiveness of working with various stakeholders in a matrix organization.
  • Experience with data analytics, market access with value-based models/proposition is preferred.
