What You Will Do:

  • Lead and manage a team of associates, ensuring consistent delivery of controls testing across assigned projects
  • Drive achievement of Service Level Benchmarks including Productivity, Quality, and Turnaround Time (TAT)
  • Oversee execution of controls testing activities in accordance with internal processes, regulatory requirements, and client-specific standards
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, external regulations, and audit readiness
  • Identify control gaps and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance risk management and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Banking, Insurance, and Capital Markets domains to support audits, reviews, and remediation efforts
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build capability and drive performance
  • Act as a point of contact for client interactions, ensuring expectations are met and issues are resolved promptly
  • Monitor daily operations, manage escalations, and ensure adherence to SLAs and compliance standards
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support career development plans
  • Resource Planning: Manage workforce planning, including hiring, training, and capacity forecasting
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of metrics, risks, and progress to internal and client stakeholders
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of innovation, automation, and continuous improvement across processes.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognized university
  • Minimum 8 years of Controls testing experience in BFSI, with strong exposure to Mortgage/ Credit/ Financial Services operations.
  • Proven experience in leading teams, managing performance, and delivering results in a service-based environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels
  • High level of critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical ability
  • Flexibility to work overtime, night shifts, and weekends based on business needs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and drive outcomes across diverse workstreams

What Would Be Nice to Have:

  • A self-driven, motivated, and energetic leadership style
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and maintain professionalism
  • Experience in Banking /Mortgage/Credit/Financial Services operations (not mandatory)
  • Experience in Mortgage Lending Cycle and Controls Testing Frameworks (not mandatory)
  • Exposure to regulatory audits, risk assessments, and compliance testing
