Job Title: Lead DevOps Engineer Job Type: Full-Time Introduction: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-native solutions on AWS, driving Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform , and managing the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline design. The ideal candidate will also have expertise in automated testing , leveraging GitHub for version control and collaboration. If you are passionate about DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and leading teams to optimize deployment processes, we would love to have you onboard. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management: Lead a team of DevOps engineers to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Mentor and guide team members, ensuring the adoption of best practices in DevOps, automated testing, and cloud-native application deployment. Drive the overall DevOps strategy, including tool selection, process improvements, and resource management. Foster collaboration between development, QA, and operations teams to ensure efficient and seamless delivery of applications. AWS Solutions Design & Infrastructure Management: Design and implement cloud infrastructure on AWS using services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and EKS. Lead the adoption of AWS best practices for cost optimization, security, and high availability in cloud environments. Architect scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native applications using AWS services and serverless technologies. Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with the team to develop reusable modules and manage environment-specific configurations using Terraform. Ensure the consistency and scalability of infrastructure environments by leveraging Terraform's versioning and state management capabilities. CI/CD Pipeline Design & Management: Lead the design, development, and optimization of automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment of code from development to production. Work with cross-functional teams to integrate automated testing, build, and deployment processes into the pipeline. Continuously monitor and optimize the CI/CD pipeline to reduce deployment times, improve reliability, and maintain a high level of security. Automated Testing & Quality Assurance: Implement and drive the adoption of automated testing practices throughout the CI/CD pipeline to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. Integrate testing frameworks with CI/CD pipelines to automate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. Work with development and QA teams to ensure continuous improvement of testing coverage and practices. Cloud-Native Applications & Microservices: Architect and deploy cloud-native applications and microservices on AWS, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant. Lead the migration and optimization of legacy systems to modern cloud-native architectures. Work with developers to design and implement containerized solutions using Docker and orchestrate using Kubernetes or Amazon EKS. Version Control & Collaboration: Manage version control, branching, and merging strategies using GitHub. Ensure seamless integration between development teams and operations through GitHub repositories, fostering collaboration and efficient workflows. Automate tasks around GitHub repositories, including code reviews, pull requests, and releases. Monitoring, Logging & Performance Optimization: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for cloud infrastructure and applications using AWS CloudWatch, ELK stack, or other tools. Analyze and optimize the performance of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD processes to ensure high availability and low latency. Required Skills And Qualifications Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading and managing DevOps teams, including mentoring and providing technical direction to team members. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, operations, QA). AWS Expertise: Extensive experience in AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, EKS, CloudFormation, and IAM. In-depth knowledge of AWS architecture best practices, security, and cost optimization strategies. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with Terraform for managing infrastructure as code and automating cloud resource provisioning and management. Strong understanding of versioning, state management, and environment-specific configurations with Terraform. CI/CD & Automation: Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or AWS CodePipeline. Ability to integrate automated testing (unit, integration, and E2E) into the CI/CD process to ensure high-quality software delivery. Cloud-Native Applications: Strong background in building and deploying cloud-native applications and microservices using AWS and modern architectures. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of cloud-native applications. Familiarity with serverless architectures and services like AWS Lambda. Version Control & Collaboration: Expertise in GitHub for version control, branching strategies, and code collaboration. Knowledge of GitHub Actions for automating workflows and deployments. Automated Testing: Experience implementing automated testing frameworks and integrating them into the CI/CD pipeline. Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Selenium, Jest, Postman). Monitoring & Logging: Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana. Experience with centralized logging solutions such as the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or Splunk. Preferred Qualifications Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional. Other DevOps or cloud certifications are a plus. Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and experience working in Agile teams. Show more Show less
