WRI India, an independent charity legally registered as the India Resources Trust, provides objective information and practical proposals to foster environmentally sound and socially equitable development. Through research, analysis, and recommendations, WRI India puts ideas into action to build transformative solutions to protect the earth, promote livelihoods, and enhance human well-being.

We are inspired by and associated with World Resources Institute (WRI), a global research organization. Currently over 250 researchers are working with WRI India in our offices at Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Currently over 400 researchers are working with IRT in our offices at Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.


What you will do:

  • Frame and execute events strategy for WRI India
  • Design and implement an organization-wide events strategy

    that aligns with WRI India’s mission, amplifies programmatic priorities, and strengthens WRI India’s role as a convener of diverse stakeholders and field builders.
  • Work collaboratively with programs and core functions

    to shape event themes, agendas, and formats that drive policy influence, stakeholder engagement, and measurable impact.
  • Leverage events as a platform for thought leadership and visibility,

    identifying opportunities to position WRI India’s experts and partners at the forefront of critical sustainability conversations.
  • Plan and execute logistics for events, workshops, and consultations, ensuring seamless coordination from vendor onboarding to final delivery.
  • Oversee vendor contracting, invoicing, and internal processes to ensure timely payments and compliance.
  • Create and manage event collaterals—invites, agendas, signage—ensuring quality and brand alignment.
  • Maintain checklists, track progress, and document event outcomes and outreach systematically.
  • Drive engagement efforts with stakeholders through effective event execution and interpersonal communication.
  • Manage workflows for digital deliverables in coordination with partners and vendors.
  • Oversee quality of website and social media content; support visual storytelling using tools like Canva or video editors.
  • Lead digital outreach initiatives such as webinars and podcasts, coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support development of reports, proposals, and other content by refining messaging and formatting.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with branding across communication materials.
  • Package insights and stories into impactful formats for strategic dissemination.


What you will need:

  • Minimum 7 years of full-time experience working in event communication or planning and executing events
  • Experience dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders and vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships internally and externally.
  • Capability to communicate complex ideas in everyday language.
  • Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines, manage multiple project deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility, technical curiosity, and willingness to learn.
  • Understanding of how events are organized and basic troubleshooting.
  • Basic familiarity with design software (Photoshop, InDesign, Canva or other AV/ animation software) is an added benefit.
