About the Role

Ecommerce Platform Manager

 

Key Responsibilities

Platform Operations & Strategy

  • Own the end-to-end management of the ecommerce platform, ensuring high availability, seamless user experience, and operational excellence, product listings, across web and mobile.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (tech, product, marketing, and customer support) to drive platform enhancements, including AI-driven features and campaign automation tools.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Maintain reports and performance dashboards to monitor KPIs such as traffic, conversion, fulfillment, etc
  • Leverage data analytics to identify trends, uncover insights, and recommend strategic actions to improve platform performance.

Performance & Experience Optimization

  • Conduct regular audits and performance testing to ensure optimal speed, usability, and reliability across devices.
  • Implement UX improvements and conversion rate optimization strategies based on user behavior and analytics.

Seller Ecosystem Management

  • Lead onboarding, training, and engagement initiatives for sellers, ensuring they are equipped to succeed on the platform.
  • Act as a liaison between sellers and internal teams to resolve issues and improve seller satisfaction.

Technology & Innovation

  • Stay abreast of emerging ecommerce technologies, SaaS platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify), and digital payment systems.
  • Evaluate and integrate tools like ChatGPT, personalization engines, and marketing automation to enhance platform capabilities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in platform management, digital operations, or product ownership—preferably in ecommerce or a tech-driven environment.
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI) and experience building actionable dashboards.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify), digital payments, and marketing technologies.
  • Experience with AI tools and conversational interfaces (e.g., ChatGPT) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
