Lead- Legal Doc

Purpose/Objective

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead for Legal Documentation in the International Energy Business at our location in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The ideal candidate will have 15 - 20 years of experience in the energy sector, with a strong background in reviewing international project agreements, ensuring statutory compliances, and overseeing the company's legal matters. Key Responsibilities of Role

Contract Management & Negotiation - Draft, review, and negotiate international contracts including PPAs, EPC/O&M, BOT/BOOT, financing, land lease, grid access, and supply chain agreements. - Ensure contracts align with commercial goals while minimizing legal and financial risks. - Lead negotiations with external stakeholders and maintain standard templates and guidelines. Supply Chain & Procurement Support - Partner with SCM to structure procurement contracts and support sourcing activities. - Align supply contracts with project development, financing, and regulatory needs. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight - Monitor international energy regulations and ensure contract compliance with laws, codes, and financing terms. - Collaborate with external counsel for jurisdictional insights. Stakeholder & Partner Management - Coordinate across internal teams and represent the company in discussions with utilities, regulators, and financial institutions. - Support business development in bidding, due diligence, and project structuring. Documentation & Governance - Maintain a repository of contracts and precedents. - Conduct reviews for compliance and improvements. - Lead internal training on international contracting and risk management.
