Summary:
UST is looking for an o9 Configuration Lead to step in and lead configuration delivery on a high-pressure, business-critical program. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional who can take ownership, stabilize delivery, and guide a junior team.
The Opportunity:
- Configure o9 IBP, DP, SP and S&OE modules to align with business needs, develop planning logic, manage data integrations, and support analytics and testing processes.
- Handle hands-on platform setup and troubleshoot issues in line with functional requirements.
- Quickly interpret complex model structures and system design, adjusting or resolving client-specific custom elements.
- Oversee or lead configuration efforts, ensuring alignment with overall delivery timelines.
- Support data migration and cutover phases, including the creation and management of deployment packages.
- Confidently navigate the platform, execute key procedures, and identify relevant components within the system.
- Proven ability to investigate and resolve issues; experience with debugging and managing support tickets is highly valued.
- Familiarity with IBPL scripting is advantageous.
- Must be collaborative, adaptable, and able to manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced, priority-driven environment.
- Platform Configuration (IBP, S&OE):
§ Configure o9's Demand Planning, Supply Planning, IBP, and SO&E to align processes.
§ Design Attribute-Based Hierarchies, Time Bucket Profiles, and Aggregation/Disaggregation Rules for multi-level planning (SKU, plant, region).
§ Develop custom planning logic using o9's planning engines (heuristics, time-series forecasting) and scripting tools (Python, R).
- o9 Data Model & Planning Engine Design:
§ Build master data structures (products, locations, customers) and key figures (demand signals, capacity constraints).
§ Optimize pegging rules, supply allocation strategies, and exception management workflows for real-time S&OE adjustments.
§ Configure Scenario Manager for what-if analysis (e.g., demand spikes, supply disruptions).
- Integration and Data Requirements:
§ Design data pipelines synchronizing o9 with SAP ECC, APO, IBP, and external market data sources.
§ Validate data quality through o9 Loader and troubleshoot integration errors in collaboration with IT teams.
- Scenario Management & Analytics:
§ Develop interactive dashboards using o9's KPI Engine to track forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory turnover.
§ Configure exceptions for stockouts, excess inventory, and production bottlenecks.
- Testing, Validation, and Support:
§ Execute unit testing, system & integration testing, and UAT for o9 configurations, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
§ Resolve post-go-live issues via ServiceNow tickets and provide Level 2/3 support for planners.
- Documentation & Training:
§ Create technical playbooks for configurations, including data mappings, calculation logic, and user permissions.
§ Train regional planners on o9's Tag UI, Workflow Designer, and Scenario Manager through hands-on workshops.
What you need:

Required Skills:
- 3-5 years configuring o9 IBP / S&OE modules (Demand 360, Supply 360) in CPG/FMCG
industries.
- IBP, SO&E and Supply Planning Experience required.
- 2+ full lifecycle implementations of o9 or SAP IBP, including data migration and cutover
planning.
Desired Skills:
- Certifications: o9 Solutions, SAP IBP, or Kinaxis Rapid Response.
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven demand sensing or control tower frameworks.
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience with Jira board management.
Qualification:
Bachelor's / master’s in computer science, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
