IT Business Analyst

The IT Business Analyst will support end-to-end IT project delivery by gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, coordinating with development and QA teams, and ensuring successful implementation of technology solutions across various business functions. The candidate will work through the full SDLC lifecycle and act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Requirement Gathering & Business Analysis

• Conduct detailed requirement workshops, interviews, and meetings with business stakeholders.

• Document Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), User Stories, and Use Cases.

• Perform gap analysis, impact assessment, and feasibility studies.

• Create AS-IS and TO-BE process flows using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.

B. SDLC Participation & Development Coordination

• Participate in all phases of the SDLC: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

• Liaise between business teams and developers to clarify requirements.

• Review technical design documents to ensure functional requirements are met.

• Support integration discussions, data mapping, and change management.

C. Testing, UAT & Quality Assurance

• Prepare test plans, test scenarios, and user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts.

• Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing.

• Track defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps and validate fixes.

• Assist business users during UAT and document results.

D. Deployment & Post-Go-Live Support

• Participate in release planning, deployment readiness, and post-deployment validations.

• Provide functional support, troubleshoot issues, and work with IT teams to resolve system defects.

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend preventive measures.

E. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a primary communication point between business stakeholders, internal teams, and external vendors.

• Manage expectations, timelines, and project dependencies.

• Conduct system walkthroughs, requirement presentations, and demo sessions.

• Support training and user onboarding for new system features.

3. Skills & Competencies

Functional Skills:

• Strong understanding of business processes across various functions such as operations, finance, HR, sales, and customer service.

• Ability to translate business needs into detailed system requirements.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.

• Experience writing user stories, functional specifications, and process flows.

• Familiarity with API concepts, data flows, and SQL basics for data validation.

• Experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Lucidchart, and Postman (preferred but optional).

Testing Skills:

• Ability to prepare and execute test scenarios.

• Strong understanding of UAT coordination and defect lifecycle.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Strong stakeholder management and collaborative skills.

• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.

• Attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

4. Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or similar role.

• Experience in any industry domain is acceptable.

• Certifications such as Agile/Scrum (CSM, PSPO) or Business Analysis (ECBA, CCBA, CBAP) are an added advantage.

5. Additional Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers.

• Support documentation of SOPs, training manuals, and user guides.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives and digital transformation projects.

• Assist in data migration, system integrations, and change management activities.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
