Job Title: IT Administrator Location: Turkapally , Hyderabad Department: Information Technology Reports To: CEO / Management Executive Industry: Defense Manufacturing / Firearms Production Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and security-conscious IT Administrator to manage and support the IT infrastructure of our rifle manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems, maintain cybersecurity protocols, and support production technologies critical to manufacturing and compliance with defense industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Network & Infrastructure Management: Maintain and monitor LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and internet connectivity. Ensure uptime and performance of servers, switches, routers, and other network devices. Manage backup systems and disaster recovery plans. System Administration: Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, and domain services. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in accordance with company policies. Oversee software installations, updates, and license compliance. Cybersecurity & Compliance: Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive manufacturing and defense data. Ensure compliance with ITAR, NIST, and other relevant defense industry regulations. Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments. Manufacturing IT Support: Support CNC machines, PLCs, and other production-related IT systems. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate IT with manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and ERP systems. Helpdesk & User Support: Provide technical support to staff across departments. Train users on IT policies, tools, and best practices. Maintain documentation of IT procedures and troubleshooting guides. Vendor & Asset Management: Coordinate with IT vendors for hardware/software procurement and support. Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure timely maintenance and upgrades. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 2+ years of experience in IT administration, preferably in a manufacturing or defense environment. Strong knowledge of Windows system, networking, and cybersecurity. Experience with ERP/MES systems and industrial IT is a plus. Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft MCSA are desirable.
