Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and service-oriented Entry-Level IT Helpdesk Engineer to join our technical support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Windows operating systems, basic networking, hardware/software troubleshooting, and end-user support. This role is perfect for recent graduates or individuals beginning their IT career.

Key Responsibilities1. Windows OS Support

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11).
  • Perform post-installation setup including system updates, user account configuration, and boot/driver troubleshooting.

2. Networking & IP Addressing

  • Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity.
  • Perform basic network diagnostics using tools such as ipconfig, ping, tracert.
  • Assist with static/dynamic IP configuration and resolving Wi-Fi issues.

3. Software Installation & Maintenance

  • Install, update, and uninstall common applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, antivirus, productivity tools).
  • Configure and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and related peripherals.
  • Resolve software compatibility and update issues.

4. Hardware Troubleshooting

  • Support basic desktop/laptop hardware setup and assembly.
  • Diagnose common hardware issues such as faulty RAM, hard drive errors, and peripheral malfunctions.
  • Maintain and replace components when required.

5. User Support & Ticketing

  • Provide remote and onsite assistance to end-users for technical issues.
  • Log, track, and resolve tickets using the organization’s helpdesk system.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and create knowledge base articles for recurring issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of Windows OS installation and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of IP addressing, LAN/WAN concepts, and basic network tools.
  • Familiarity with common software installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic hardware issues.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work in a team environment.

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

  • CompTIA A+, N+, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with a ticketing system (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow).
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory and Office 365 management.

Education

  • Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
