Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an International Logistics Coordinator located in Mumbai. The International Logistics Coordinator will manage day-to-day logistics operations, including inventory management, supply chain coordination, and customer service. Responsibilities include monitoring shipments, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with suppliers and clients, and resolving logistics issues. Effective communication and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify shipment checklists for completeness and accuracy prior to dispatch or clearance.

• Coordinate and follow up on BOE filing and clearance processes with CHA and customs authorities.
• Maintain and archive accurate documentation for all shipments.

• Liaise with international freight forwarders for booking, shipment tracking, and timely delivery.

• Negotiate rates, review shipping options, and ensure cost-effective and efficient routing.
• Monitor and communicate shipment ETAs, delays, or changes.

• Coordinate with CHA for customs inspection, documentation review, and duty assessments.

• Ensure timely clearance of shipments to avoid demurrage and detention charges.
• Resolve customs-related queries and issues proactively.

• Manage the logistics flow from supplier dispatch to final warehouse delivery.

• Track and update shipment status, delays, and exceptions to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and finance teams for seamless operations.

• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.

• Assist in audits and ensure readiness with complete documentation.
• Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics operations.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in international logistics and documentation.
• In-depth knowledge of BOE filing, INCO terms, HS codes, and customs clearance procedures.
• Strong experience working with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and CHAs.
• Familiarity with import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, AWBs/BLs, COO, etc.
• Excellent communication, follow-up, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally), and shipment tracking tools.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
