Job Description

Responsibilities : US - Indirect Tax Analyst

Shift Timings :

  • Proven comprehensive knowledge of Sales Tax/ Use Tax of US geography, including laws and regulations, journal entries, indirect tax return reviews & account reconciliations.
  • Deep understanding of key supply chain processes like P2P & O2C, with a strong ability to communicate ERP data extraction requirements to IT and business for indirect tax analysis.
  • Analysis to determine new entities and/or jurisdictions that require additional filing obligations, nexus planning.
  • Assist the Finance team with monthly tax accruals/forecasting tax expenses for future periods and any tax-related accounting entries.
  • Coordinate and assist in reviewing the work of consultants on indirect tax compliance. • Assistance in handling tax assessments with authorities.
  • Assist in resolving the issues of the AR team.
  • Assist with the preparation, documentation and review of tax workpapers and filings.
  • Support our tax accounting and forecasting processes; and engage with governmental agents, external advisors, and financial statement auditors.
  • Preparation and filing and review of Property Tax returns (Renditions).
  • Processing and review of property tax “Notice of Value” and Tax Bills.
  • You will also research and analyze technical tax issues and support the team with audit matters.
  • In this role, you will leverage your analytical expertise and curiosity as you evaluate the tax implications of company’s business operations.
  • You will leverage your tax expertise, critical thinking, problem solving, and business operational knowledge while working on a wide range of strategic priorities.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :

  • •Experience in Sales tax with a public accounting firm or equivalent experience in a large corporate tax department is preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles; CPA is preferred.
  • Experience in using data and analytical tools including Excel and data visualization tools is preferred.
  • Experience with One Source and Net Suite, or similar tax software and general ledger system, is preferred.
  • Ability to lead and manage process transitions with a focus on timely completion.
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently with limited direction and guidance.
  • High motivation and enthusiasm to learn. Experience of working in a start-up service center organization will be a plus.
  • Experience working for a multinational organization and working with colleagues internationally.
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement & propose innovative solutions.


Educational Qualification/ Experience :

  • Masters Degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Commerce.
  • US GAAP knowledge with CPA is preferred.
  • 4 + years of experience in Sales tax with a public accounting firm (preferably Big 6 accounting firm) or equivalent experience in a large corporate tax department is preferred
